  5. Interesting that all 4 of you think the Vikings will get a home game for week two. It's my belief the NFL(at least this season) will try to avoid having the Vikes at home at the same time the Twins are at home. Of course the Vikings are at home on September 2nd at the same time the Twins are, so we'll see what transpires.

  6. I just didn't think they would make the Vikings start with 2 road games for a second straight year. The Twins and Vikings having different stadiums was supposed to avoid some of these scheduling conflicts.

  7. But you're still forgetting that the Twins are still playing in Downtown Minneapolis. That's why I think the Vikings will be on the road for week 2.

  8. So the two teams can't be home the same week ever? That kind of defeats the purpose of having seperate stadiums. The Vikings should not have to open with two road game in consecutive years. No I did not forget that the Twins play downtown.

  9. They can, but in my view, it may be more infrequent as most people assume. I still maintain my view that the NFL will want to minimize Vikings-Twins conflicts this season, especially since the city of Minneapolis can fine tune traffic concerns with several events going on downtown at the same time.

Now do I believe that the Vikings will be at home in week 2, yes. But my prediction of the schedule assumes the NFL will schedule the Vikings for a week 2 road game.
